The cartridge king division of meridian associates, a local nonprofit human service agency, has been awarded a contract to provide compatible printer, fax and copier cartridges for general dynamics advanced information systems. The contract will support cartridge king and their efforts to create employment for local adults with disabilities by recycling empty cartridges and remanufacturing compatible ones for business and personal use.

Meridian associates has been serving persons with disabilities in berkshire, franklin & hampshire counties since 1980 and purchased the cartridge king franchise in 1999 in order to provide employment to the clients it serves. Cartridge king cartridges have been recognized as offering superior quality by the imaging products laboratory of the rochester institute of technology reporting that cartridge king cartridges print more pages at greater density and clarity than new ones.

General dynamics will donate its used cartridges and purchase remanufactured and fully compatible ones from cartridge king. According to jay sacchetti, meridian associates executive director, cartridge king feels incredibly appreciative of the kindness, support and community spirit showed to them by general dynamics.

In an effort to increase employment opportunities for their clients in berkshire county and western massachusetts, meridian associates encourages other companies to donate empty cartridges and purchase compatible ones from their cartridge king division. Jeffrey torres, sales and administration manager of cartridge king, welcomes all donations of used cartridges and will make arrangements to pick them up in pittsfield and surrounding areas in berkshire county.
